The general policy is a overvieuw of rules that the contributor and staff member must follow. This is the overall guideline on how the contributor and staff member should behave and have to follow them precisely. Ones who have read the guideline can also warn other contributors with their actions if they did not read the policy. Contributors can give the link to the contributors to follow the policy in order to keep the wiki civil and organized.

Rules outline

Here is a list of rules the contributors and staff members should follow in order to prevent them from getting blocked from editing on Yo-kai Watch Encyclopedia. Read the rules carefully and not carelessly.

  • Contributors and staff members should not put advertisments on this wiki.
  • Do not create any articles that contains sexual content, racial remarks, leaving them blank or extremely stubbed.
  • Have the respect for your fellow contributors and staff members instead of showing uncivil behavior towards them.
  • A contributor should not harass a staff member on how to become a staff member or being one.
  • Do not start a edit war on a article, the article will be locked until the war has been ceased from both parties.
  • Do not harass one another through articles or through talk pages. There will be a high change that the contributor or staff member will get banned for 5 minutes to cool off.
  • Do not add fan theories in the articles or in the trivia section of the articles. They will be removed from the wiki as they are not accurate information.
  • A contributor from another wiki should not harass a contributor from this wiki to borrow content from this wiki. This will result in a block for asking something that the contributor will not get.
  • Do not ask a contributor or a staff member things that are not accurate.
  • Do not take content from this wiki to your own website or own wiki. You will receive warnings and a invinite block on this wiki.

Other policy

Yo-kai Watch Encyclopedia do not accept contributors with a uncivil behaviour and ones that do not follow our guideline even if the contributor is new to the wiki. However, we do want to learn new contributors the basic steps of editing a wiki and that it takes time until they fully understand the coding. Yo-kai Watch Encyclopedia does not accept contributors that use vulgar language and racial slurs as they will be banned in an instant and invinite due to being uncivil. Yo-kai Watch Encyclopedia accepts everyone by their race, age, religious believe, sexual preferences and sex. Fan theory and having sexual fantasies about a character or Yo-kai is extremely prohibited and will result in a ban that can lead to invinite. We want to create the best source of Yo-kai Watch as possible as we are focusing in providing the best information for Yo-kai Watch fans in details as possible.

Due to problems on our other host with Yo-kai Watch World, we do not accept their images and information. This is due that the staff of Yo-kai Watch World will harass the wiki to get their right for things they do not completely own. They go as far going to discord servers or twitter accounts of the wiki to have "their images" taken down from the wiki or to source the images of the wiki. We do not want to source images linked to a site that are harassing and calling us untrustworthy and even watermarking images that are not owned by them but by Level-5. Despite being in the wrong, it is best not to take images from Yo-kai Watch World due to those reasons.

Any contributors that upload fan art or sensitive images will be banned. However, if contributors upload fan art they will receive a regular warning which can sum up to three warnings with the last one being the final warning and will get banned from contributing to the wiki. However, if a contributor uploads sensitive images and sexual slurs and texts will not receive three warnings but an instant ban which is directly invinite and that will not be revoked and will also not be discussed about as the talk page of the contributor will be locked as well. Keep in mind the situation you are in if you upload them to the wiki.
