Natsume Amano (天野ナツメ Amano Natsume) is the main protagonist of the Shadowside animation series as well the protagonist of the fourth movie Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: The Return of the Oni King.
She is a member of the Yo-kai Detective Team alongside with Touma Tsukinami and Akinori Arihoshi, that investigates strange occurrences in their hometown caused by Yo-kai. She is the daughter of the former Yo-kai Watch holder Nathan Adams and Katie Forester and the older sister of Keisuke Amano. Natsume is the current holder of the Yo-kai Watch Elder.

Etymology
"Natsume" (ナツメ) is a Japanese name that can be taken from "natsume" (Japanese: 棗 jujube), among other things. Her last name "Amano" means "heaven field".
